Nightly office cleaning

Your office, ready when the first person arrives.

A crew of two to four works your floors after the last person leaves, Monday to Friday. The scope sheet decides what happens each night; the supervisor initials it before the crew locks up.

  • Trash and recycling emptied

  • Desks and shared surfaces dusted

  • Floors vacuumed and mopped

  • Break rooms and restrooms on their own pages

The sheet

What's on the sheet, and what's extra.

  • Every night

    • Trash, recycling and new liners

    • Carpet vacuumed in the traffic lanes

    • Hard floors dust-mopped and damp-mopped

    • Break room counters and sinks

    • Restrooms cleaned and restocked

  • A few nights a week

    • Desks, sills and ledges dusted

    • Glass doors and partitions wiped

    • Stairwells and handrails

    • Whiteboards and conference tables

  • Extra, on its own line

    • Refrigerator interiors

    • Inside cabinets, once

    • Blinds dusted, quarterly

A night

How a night goes.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Sign in

The crew arrives after your last person leaves, signs the building log and disarms the alarm with its own code.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Walk

The supervisor reads the sheet with the crew and notes anything odd: a spill, a locked room, a note from you.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Work

Trash and restrooms first, then floors, so wet floors have time to dry.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Check

The supervisor walks the route against the sheet and initials it.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Lock up

The alarm is set, the doors are locked and the time out is logged.

Before we arrive, and what we leave alone.

  • Before the first night

    • Tell us which rooms are off limits

    • Leave papers on desks; we wipe around them

    • Decide who holds a key and who has a code

    • Tell us about parking, the dock and the elevator

  • What we don't do

    • Biohazard or hazardous-material cleanup

    • Mold removal

    • Moving furniture or heavy lifting

    • Exterior windows or work at height

Questions about nightly cleaning.

How many people come, and how long do they take?

Two to four people. The walkthrough sets the crew size and the time, and both are written at the top of your sheet.

What if our hours change?

Tell the supervisor. The sheet is reissued, and the quote changes only if the nights or the scope do.

Can we skip a night?

Yes. Call the office by 2 p.m. that day, or leave a note on the night line. Holidays go on the sheet ahead of time.
